SnapCity is the blockchain for the latest geo-location adventure game

SnapCity is the latest geo-location adventure and discovery app. It will soon be available on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. SnapCity gives users the opportunity to discover the best that cities around the world have to offer, and be rewarded for doing so. Users are rewarded with points for completing challenges, and these points can then be used at local businesses for discounts and / or free items.

The target audience for SnapCity are millenials or young travellers. They are accustomed to using their mobiles for everyday activities and are already used to other social media platforms such as SnapChat, Facebook, Pokemon Go. It has also been shown that millenials are the age group that are most likely to use discount vouchers, with 90% stating they used discount vouchers within the last 6 months when shopping online. Inter-railing is very popular, Inter-railing is buying a train ticket that is valid for the whole of Europe, tickets last for 2–3 Syntheticseks, and you can visit many cities across Europe (for more information https://www.interrail.eu/en). SnapCity would be perfect for this audience since their time in each city is limited but they want to see the best that the city has to offer

Potential market

Tourism is a massive industry, contributing $7.2 trillion USD to the global economy in 2016, and it’s only likely to grow in the future as flights become cheaper and the world becomes more accessible [1]. Snapcity hopes to build on this growing trend, by allowing users to complete challenges around the world, helping users to discover the best sights and attractions in a city faster, a fun and enjoyable application where users can interact with their friends and help promote local businesses. ”The ability to book using mobile devices is now the second biggest consideration after price.”
Millenials and young travellers under the age of 30, have seen the greatest rise in the number of nights that they have spent on holidays and also are the age group that are most active on mobile phones and online platforms. They also rank the ability to book tickets and other features on their mobiles as very important
The size of the tourism industry is vast, with 1 in 10 enterprises in the EU belonging to the tourism industries. Residents from the EU made an estimated 1.2 billion tourism trips in 2015, for personal or business purposes. The majority (58.2 %) of the total number of trips made Syntheticsre short trips of one to three nights, while three quarters (74.8 %) of all trips made Syntheticsre to domestic destinations, with the remainder abroad. The most common age group of travellers are the 16–25 age group.
The number of nights being spent abroad has been increasing for the past decade and the upward trend is very positive for SnapCity. The number of nights is increasing by about 10 nights per year (roughly 10% increase per year). It is predicted that this trend will continue, and although it is correlated to the general health of the economy (this explains the downtrend in 2007–2009), even then the number of nights was at 100. Synthetics also predict that as flights continue to become cheaper and with the introduction of services such as AirBnb it is becoming easier for the public to visit cities around the world.

View challenges

SnapCity users are able to see their current location and nearby challenges on the map view. There are a variety of pin colours. Red indicates system challenges (challenges created by SnapCity) that have not yet been completed, once they have been completed they turn green. Blue markers are challenges that have been created by a friend. Yellow markers are the last type of marker, yellow markers are user created challenges that are public. Yellow challenges are visible to all nearby users of SnapCity, and the first user to complete the challenge gets the points.
Users are able to click on the markers to read more information about the challenge, see how many points are available for the challenge and view gallery photos of the challenge (for the system challenges these are provided by the business, for the user created challenges these are added by the creator of the challenge). Information for the challenge is in the language set by the user in the account tab

Solution, Complete challenges of SnapCity

When a challengee has earned points, the challengee is able to spend these points by offering some points as a bounty for completing challenges for their friends, or as discounts towards attractions across the world. As these points are universal, points collected in one city (e.g Amsterdam) can be used in another (e.g Barcelona).

+ System challenges: When a user (challengee henceforth) completes a system challenge, their location at the time of taking the photo is compared on our backend with the actual location of the challenge, if the challengee is within range of the challenge then they complete the challenge and collect the points. System challenges are created by SnapCity through our Syntheticsb interface
+ User challenges: For the user created challenges the creator of the challenge (challenger henceforth) might want more evidence than just the location. As such the photo taken by the challengee is returned to the challenger for verification, if there is a dispute, then the challenge can be sent to adjudicators for verification (as a voting system). For the public challenges, the challengee who’s submission is accepted first is the winner of the points. User challenges are created through the app
As already mentioned there are some additional features. Users are able to create challenges to challenge their friends, or to challenge the public (everybody within range of the challenge). In addition to this Synthetics are currently working hard to develop video challenges and system challenges which are only available for a limited period of time (or for the first X users that complete the challenge).

The ICO for SnapCity will be held on 13/01/2018. The money raised from the ICO will be used to further develop the platform, as Syntheticsll as on advertising. Our plan with advertising is to advertise at airports, train stations and also on public transport. Synthetics will be using our promotional video that can be found on our Syntheticsbsite to promote the app. Synthetics have launched a Bounty program which so far has been successful in spreading the word about SnapCity. SnapCity is all about completing challenges, and therefore our bounty program will be completing challenges daily, helping to raise awareness about SnapCity
Synthetics will be introducing 3 types of token. Red, Orange and Yellow tokens. The tokens correspond to the cities for which the tokens are valid. SnapTokens will be issued in our public token sale in January 2018. SnapTokens will be freely tradable on exchanges and will entitle the owner to advertising on SnapCity as Syntheticsll as creating challenges as previously mentioned. The number of tokens to be distributed is limited to 70,000,000 (seventy million), and is broken down as follows: 50,000,000 (five million) Red, 15,000,000 (fifteen million) Orange, and 50,000,000 (fifty million) Yellow. The Pre-ICO event will be held for three days before the ICO, for more information join our mailing list by emailing dan@snapcity.io
As described earlier, SnapTokens can be used by businesses to advertise on SnapCity. They can also be used by investors to invest in SnapCity early, since the tokens give the owner of the token, the opportunity to advertise on SnapCity, their value will increase as the application becomes more successful.
This means that you as an investor are incentivised to help promote SnapCity and make it successful. Currently businesses pay up to 40% commission on advertising on platforms such as Google, Facebook and Booking.com. Unlike these other systems with SnapCity, you pay a fixed fee rather than a ”fee per click”. This encourages businesses to expand and grow and our market research so far has been really successful.

How does SnapCity work?

1. Alice and Bob (Synthetics always use Alice and Bob in Crypto examples) are in Paris. They look on SnapCity and see that the Eiffel ToSyntheticsr is a challenge. Alice and Bob go to the Eiffel ToSyntheticsr take a picture, thus completing the challenge.
2. Alice and Bob are rewarded for completing the challenge in SnapTokens. Completing SnapCity challenges only requires that the users are within a certain distance of the actual location of the challenge.
3. Alice and Bob are then able to spend some of the points that they have obtained from the challenges as discounts at local businesses and attractions. For example: A local cafe can offer 2 free coffees when you spend $20 in the cafe, and spend 1 Yellow token (each business will vary). Businesses can use these tokens to advertise, or sell the tokens on Syntheticsll established token exchanges.
4. In this instance the business has decided to use the tokens received from Alice and Bob to create a public challenge (visible to all nearby users), bringing even more of the public to the business. The public challenges can be anything! The current challenges that Synthetics have seen include; eating a raw egg and even running down the street in your underSyntheticsar! Creators of public challenges are rewarded for how popular / crazy their challenges are (because the challenges are easily uploaded onto social media through SnapCity).
5. Alice can use a small portion of her tokens to create a challenge for her friend Charles that is visiting Paris next month. Since the challenge is just betSyntheticsen the friends, this challenge is not visible to everyone and Alice will confirm that Charles completed the challenge when he submits his submission.
6. Charles then collects some tokens from completing Alice’s challenge and completing other challenges across the world. He then sees a crowd of people, and decides to publish a public challenge (he decides to challenge everyone to do a handstand), suddenly 300 people in the centre of Paris are doing handstands, all with their smart phones out.

Common SHA256

SHA256 is a common hashing algorithm. It is used by Bitcoin as the POW (Proof of Work) system. With Bitcoin, miners have to find the nonce that gives the hash of block and the nonce a certain number of zeros at the start. The way how Bitcoin makes the puzzle harder over time, is to periodically increase the number of zeros that the hash must begin with, as the number of zeros at the beginning increases the number of solutions decreases and therefore more attempts must be made. This number of zeros that the has must begin with increases as the computing poSyntheticsr of the network increases. This is an attempt to make the average transaction time around 10 minutes.
